Razenberger safety teams

Question:
I may have spelled their name wrong but they drive around in gray passenger vans. I have seen them all over the country. Do they work for a spacific carrier or are the affiliated with a industry watch dog? just wondering.

Answer:

Answer:

They shuttle railroad personnel around. Little to nothing to do with caring as I understand.

Answer:

I work in railyards a lot, and you see the various van companies driing around there. Since the trains have to have their crews changed at various times to meet their rest requirements, these vans pick up the new crews, and run them out to wherever the train is going to be. Often they simply meet at a rail crossing, and the crews change out. Then the van brings the old crew back to the yard. Rail crews are limited to 12 hours on per day, and there are no sleeper berths on freight trains.....
